Pain Management Group (PMG) has partnered with Oaklawn Hospital to bring balanced pain treatment to the Marshall, Michigan community. The Oaklawn Hospital Pain Management Center opened in September and is located on the hospital grounds at 215 E. Mansion Street Suite 3C.Our Goal
Our goal, led by Daniel Callahan, MD, is to empower patients to return to their daily activities that are currently inhibited by pain. Dr. Callahan, will diagnose acute and chronic pain at the Oaklawn Hospital Pain Management Center. Dr. Callahan was fellowship trained in pain management at the University of Iowa, and completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Harvard University. He is board certified in both neurology and pain management.Our Approach
Using a balanced approach to pain management, Dr. Callahan creates a tailored care plan for each patient. Care plans will incorporate treatment options such as minimally invasive interventional procedures, medication management, and other services such as physical therapy. Dr. Callahan and the Oaklawn Pain Management Center staff will stay in contact with each patient’s primary care physician to provide the most individualized and informed care for each diagnosis.Common Diagnoses
• Neck and back pain, including work-related injuries and sciatica.
• Persistent pain after back or neck surgery
• Arthritis pain in neck or lower back
• Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
• Nerve damage or muscle spasm pain
• Shingles pain
Common procedures include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, selective nerve root blocks and radiofrequency ablations. Dr. Callahan will perform all interventional procedures locally at Oaklawn Hospital.
