Fayette Regional Health System Adds Balanced Pain Management Program
Pain Management Group (PMG) has partnered with Fayette Regional Health System to bring balanced pain treatment to the Connersville, Indiana community. The Fayette Regional Pain Management Center saw its first patient on October 27th, 2015. The Pain Center is located in the Fayette Regional Spine and Joint Center, at 1941 Virginia Avenue.
Danielle Turnak, MD diagnoses acute and chronic pain at the Fayette Regional Pain Management Center. Using a balanced approach to pain management, she creates a tailored care plan for each patient. Care plans incorporate such options as minimally invasive interventional procedures, medication management, and other services in the community like physical therapy.
Dr. Turnak was fellowship trained in chronic pain at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, and she is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine.
The goal of the program is empowering patients to return to their daily activities that are currently inhibited by pain. Staying in contact with the patient’s primary care physician, Dr. Turnak along with the staff at the Fayette Regional Health System Pain Management Center care for the patient’s diagnosis for the duration of their pain.
Common diagnoses are neck and back pain, including work-related injuries and sciatica; persistent pain after back or neck surgery; arthritis pain in neck or lower back; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS); nerve damage or muscle spasm pain; shingles pain and headaches.
Dr. Turnak performs all interventional procedures locally at Fayette Regional Health System. Common procedures include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, selective nerve root blocks and radiofrequency ablations.
The Fayette Regional Pain Management Center is now accepting new patients. For more information, please call the center at 765-827-7850.
