Pekin Pain Management Center sees first patients

Pekin Pain Management Center sees its first patients this week. Born of a partnership between Pekin Hospital and Pain Management Group (PMG), the center offers balanced treatment for acute and chronic pain based in the Pekin community. It is located in Suite K of the MOB Building at 600 S. 13th St., Pekin, Ill.
At Pekin Pain Management Center, Arek Grochowski, MD treats all kinds of acute and chronic pain– including neck and back pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic pelvic pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), nerve damage, as well as pain associated with arthritis, muscle spasms and shingles. Dr. Grochowski is board certified in pain medicine and was fellowship train in pain medicine at Christ Christ Hospital & University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The center operates from a balanced model of pain management. Patients are referred to the center by their primary care physician. Dr. Grochowski acts as the primary care physician for the patient’s pain diagnosis. He creates a treatment program based on the patient’s specific pain that may incorporate the use of minimally invasive interventional procedures, medication management and referral for other treatment like physical therapy.
